Since Ancient Egyptian times, people have been interested in working out what is inside the human body and what it all does.

Now, anyone with even a passing interest in anatomy can see for themselves thanks to Bodies…The Exhibition in New York City.

Currently taking place at the South Street Seaport off Pier 17, Fulton Street, this amazing exposition showcases more than 200 actual human bodies and specimens, which are uniquely preserved using liquid silicone rubber.

Of course, it may not be for the faint-hearted, but residents of New York hotels who can get used to the idea of seeing real human bodies are sure to find the experience memorable, interesting and informative.

The exhibition?s medical director Dr Roy Glover said: "Seeing promotes understanding and understanding promotes the most practical kind of body education possible."

With details about the skeleton, muscles, nervous system, digestive system and reproductive organs all available to attendees, Dr Glover is right - the show provides an insight into the human body like never before.

Bodies…The Exhibition will be in New York until June 30th 2012 and is open Sunday to Thursday from 10.00 - 7.00 p.m. EST and Friday and Saturday from 10.00 - 9.00 p.m. EST for guests at New York hotels who want to make an evening of it.

The South Street Seaport is just a short taxi ride from the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York.
