Turtle is one of the world?s oldest animals, some species can live more than one hundred years. Ancient people used the shells as a divination tool. In modern times, many Chinese people like to have turtle as a  pet, because they believe that the turtle can bring good luck and consider them as a auspicious beast. By plastination, more than 40 whole turtle specimens and more than 30 pieces of tortoise organ specimens are featured in the exhibition, and show various shape, organs and physical characteristics of turtles. Visitors can learn a lot of relevant knowledge through the exhibition, such as the difference between tortoises and sea turtles, the reason of longevity, turtle protection and so on.
